millennial-media-picture

We know that mobile ad network millennial MEDIA has more than tripled revenues in 2010, 2009, and achieve profitability. But we did not know how many in the mobile advertising network brought in until now. In 2011 the last Millennial Inc. 500 list saw 47.8 million turned out in 2010, income, more than 3000 percent from 2007, $ 1.5 million in revenue. And although we don't know what the Millennial net income, we know that the company is profitable.

Millennial is one of the largest remaining independent ad networks Google bought AdMob, and Apple has acquired Quattro. There is no doubt that many technology companies through the eyes of the Millennial goal acquisition, but the company has managed to preserve its independence in spite of increased consolidation taking place in the mobile ad space.

In addition to Millennial in independent ad network company also operates and manages private mobile ad networks for large media companies and conglomerates that have multiple applications and sites, essentially the power of self-service ad network for these companies. And the millennial deals with "prominent Internet media company" (but declining to name the company), which is fully running mobile advertising at the millennial.

On the basis of comparison, AdMob reportedly had 100 million dollars in revenue, run course, when it was purchased in the year 2009, which could put his actual revenue in the $ 40 million (AdMob Division revenue 60/40 with publishers). It's unclear if the Millennial in 47.8 million in 2010, income is post-split.

I hope we will see more detailed information on financials Millennial when a company files S-1 for public offer in the coming months. CEO and founder Paul Palmieri had ambitions of taking public companies, and the timing may be right, considering that this seems to be the year of tech companies IPO. In may, Bloomberg reported that Millennial talked to bankers on the IPO, which could come in the autumn or early 2012 and valued the company at a whopping $ 700 million to $ 1 billion (AdMob was sold to Google for $ 750 million).

Given how most companies refuse to disclose the exact financials when they are private is always interesting to see revenue numbers pre-IPO.

Some of the most interesting and relevant content on Quora linked from their seats. So far, however, not much done to Quora concentrate these data using the location. Today they start.

A new feature going live soon will allow users to specify location information by topic. For example, if the theme of the Golden Gate Bridge in San Francisco, now you can drag and drop a PIN to indicate where on the map. This place will display each time you view the topic. And the map can be set to show satellite or terrain view (they're using Google Maps). You can also enter specific addresses.

This may not sound like a big deal, but it most likely indicates where Quora thinks about heading to the location itself. The company noted that, as more people use the service from their mobile phones, location-based questions and answers are becoming increasingly important. This is something that other startups as Hipster, were built around.

Location more generally also allows Quora link topics together in a new way. For example, if you are considering a trip somewhere, you could look at interesting information around the area you're headed, than might otherwise have surfaced on the overall query.

It looks like Facebook is not only taking place more seriously.

Quora, founded in June 2009, for the first time in private beta in January 2010. Quora is a collection of constantly improving the questions and answers is created, edited and organized by everyone who ...

Yipit, a site that collects and recommends daily transactions, based on custom field and interests (6 million dollars and raised back in June with many VCs), released some interesting data trends today on daily transaction space. In General, July was not a memorable month for the industry daily deals, although there have been several clear winners, including all your favourite transaction site, big kahuna Groupon.

Based on data collected from more than 650 daily transactions services, Yipit discovered that the industry's total revenue fell in July to 7% in North America's largest markets — in spite of a slight overall increase proposals. The data also shows that the number of daily deals sites, decreased slightly in July, with 38 sites of deals, closing their doors, compared with 36 new sites launched.

While the big players, according to the report, Groupon in revenue decreased 4% from June, as, unlike the income fell by LivingSocial significant 18 per cent. Although the gap has widened its Groupon rival in July, income both companies declined by more than 20% in the first half of July, compared with the first half of June. However, although the Groupon in revenue in the second half of July have actually increased in the second half of June, LivingSocial has declined. Also note: Groupon more than twice the gross revenue than LivingSocial. Not a good month for Groupon in competitor.

As one might expect on the previous data, Groupon nabbed a little market share at the expense of its competitor, reversing a trend that persisted over the past several months. Groupon thus continues to maintain his iron grip on the proportion of the total market, representing almost 50 per cent of the total daily transaction market, more than doubled to 21 percent, LivingSocial and so much more than the next opponent in the list, Travelzoo and currently make up only 5 percent of the market.

GroupOn also owned a high gross transactions in July, the report said, as his Photoboom of America decide to generate income in the top 30 $575,505 North American markets. GroupOn and LivingSocial dominated the top ten gross is seen in space, six of the top 10, compared with four for LivingSocial.

Other interesting data points include the fact that, despite its relatively small chunk of market share, compared with the top dogs, Travelzoo, continued to actively expand its "local transaction", offering an increasing number of transactions available in the top 30 North American markets on 48 percent, record revenue growth of more than 35 per cent.

And it seems that just as Google you must mention in seemingly every other industry trend report, search giant is now find their way into daily transactions statistics as well as Google offers "to continue to have a significantly lower prices and revenue from a transaction than Groupon, LivingSocial deals" or according to the report. In doing so, while Google offers the average number of vouchers was only slightly less than Groupon and LivingSocial, income from transaction was significantly lower.

Google offers launched in Portland, but has expanded to New York and San Francisco. Of course while Google plans to begin making waves in new towns, especially in view of the fact that the report notes that Google offers fought in Portland in July, the creation of less that 10 per cent of the income that Groupon in Portland in July.

But perhaps the big winner in daily space "travel deals" websites, which continued to grow in July accounted for six of the top 10 deals in July — and became the third largest daily deal category with travel deals, accounting for six of the top 10 deals and almost 15 per cent of income in the industry.

Over the past few years the music industry is going through some serious growing pains. And while the industry is still new digital outfit as an ill-fitting coat of cassettes, I, for one, love hearing about young startups, which are trying to turn the music industry is better (and more modern) place to go and do business. Although digital media gave bars access to a wider audience and cheap distribution channels, it is still as hard as ever for artists to make a buck and blast their music and brand messages widely, efficiently and effectively.

Early adopter community has gone bonkers over the Turntable as the platform for detection of fm music, although it is true that even fans turntable skeptical of its long-term viability. And it's nice to finally Spotify in the United States, as well as cool services like exFm, SoundTracking, Rexly and e-commerce VibeDeck, of which some youngun funk music space.

Last month, Brenden Mulligan, founder, ArtistData (syndication tool for musicians to post information on the Internet), started a new musical venture entitled poster with a simple task: create a simple way for bands to build a real Web presence without the need to maintain this presence.

Band does not have many options when it comes to maintaining a simple but unique Web personality; Of course, there are some great sites for direct fan sales, digital out-of-band management, career Coaching (and BandCamp, for example, offers some excellent Web hosting page), but many of these sites are trying to do too much and end up with fragmented user interfaces.

Thus with the landscape in the manner and with keyboard Cat plays Myspace poster intervened on stage is very timely. Bands like simple, automatic (and friendly) way to keep eIdentity and poster does this in such a way that is not unlike About me. As Alex wrote last month, poster, thus allows bands to create and authenticate them through Facebook or Twitter and connect easily with third-party services, such as Soundcloud, Bandcamp and ReverbNation. (And social media services like Posterous, Tumblr and YouTube.)

Bar you can customize the poster design, changes in simple things like font and widget positioning, but they really don't have to get their hands dirty, because their page is updated via a connection with those other platforms by a third party.

With this in place today, only a month after its first launch, the poster goes from a limited beta. What does it mean? When the framework initially to invite or sit on a waiting list before getting in, but now the poster is open and available so that anyone can register. And it's still free.

Another notable update that comes along with the evacuation of a limited beta is that the poster is now offering a "preview" version of "pro account" (Mulligan said, was in great demand since launch), which offers a greater degree of customization, including custom domain names, fewer poster, branding, more social networking make, and so on. Currently in preview mode, which means that artists can choose to test features without paying the pro accounts. When you declare pricing, Mulligan told me, the artists will be able to choose to keep the advanced or return to the main free account.

Among other updates, poster now allows the artist to add custom meta tags to customize the navigation pane, delete the poster title, add as/subsequent buttons include Google analytics accounts, create custom icons for mobile devices, tablets, Web browsers, and Facebook, as well as the ability to add links to your music on iTunes, Beatport, CD Baby, top spin and Bandcamp (or adding custom links to the sites, the poster is not yet supported).

These new features offer some great additional features beyond what is clearly a rapidly growing user base. Since launch, the poster has been on a tear as Mulligan told me that today, more than 10 000 artists have signed up to use the service, all in just over one month. Among the artists now using poster Owl City, which have 6 million Facebook likes, Paramore, who loves FB 18 million, and Kearney mate, who spend most of last week as # 1 on iTunes. Not too shabby.

Currently poster continues in download mode, but Mulligan clearly ramping start Monetizing through the addition of pro accounts, which are likely to be implemented in the next few months.

This magnificent site, so get out there and check it out and let us know what you think.
