Bizness Apps launch, which gives small businesses the means to quickly and easily create a mobile application that launched in October 2010, and is growing like gangbusters, reaching more than 1000 applications that 10 languages and more than 20 countries in less than 9 months. She also recently teamed with WuFoo to give small and medium-sized businesses the ability to create and seamlessly add contact forms, online surveys and invitations for their applications. Startup also has interesting founding story that provides useful lessons for your business. Check out our April coverage here.

Bizness Apps value proposition is simple: run wants to make mobile applications available, customizable and easy-to-small business owner. Thus starting offers DIY iPhone, iPad and Android application platform that enables SMB to create, edit, and manage mobile applications without any programming experience required. You start with a template, customize them to meet your business and then Bizness Apps makes them native apps and distributes them on iTunes and the Android market.

Run is not without competitors in this space as iSites, SwebApps and mobile Roadie are targeting similar endpoint. But real Apps Bizness advantage that this product is easy to use, well designed, yet remains accessible. Price for use iOS or Android platform-$ 39, while those who want to create Android applications and iOS are paying $ 59. This accessibility is very appealing for small business, wants to take advantage of the mobile business without having to fork over thousands of dollars to do so.

Native apps are great and all, you could say, but what about this should HTML5 revolution? Where is my Web applications? Accelerated, the fact that heated debate whether the app developers should go to HTML5 or native apps (as evidenced by mg on the post titled back in February), the Bizness Apps founder and Executive Director Andrew Gazdecki said that he thinks that the best approach is to place a bet on mobile as a whole — not one or the other.

That is why the launch today announces the launch of HTML5 version of the platform for their DIY mobile applications for small businesses. With this new Web feature service, users now have the ability to create almost identical mobile experience for every mobile platform, including iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and so on — they can go native HTML5, or both. For an additional $ 10 per month.

Within the framework of the launch platform for HTML5 Bizness Apps built QR code enabled mobile marketing template to provide a simple and affordable way to market their mobile applications for clients small and medium-sized businesses. Image template, as shown above, is automatically generated (with the possibility of printing) with one click from within the platform for HTML5.

The idea here, said Gazdecki, is to help direct business customers for the relevant applications based on what type of mobile device they are using. For example, if a user has an Android phone, they scan the Android themed QR code assigned to business Android app.

Another important piece of the puzzle in the establishment of a development tool agnostic application platform for small and medium business is the existence in the mother and HTML5 and accessibility and the new possibilities of mobile marketing, Bizness Apps became an interesting platform and is well-positioned to weather the native vs. web apps debate.

Ness serves up their first personal search app to open a restaurant

Last night I went out for lunch. But I didn't get where I was going, Ness did. Location was good. Only one for Ness.

We previously covered Ness calculations in July, when talking about technologies that will power their possible applications (as well as their funding). Today, the first such app has gone live in the App Store, called simply, Ness. This is a personal search engine, meals in restaurants. And that's fine.

While most of the food and restaurant recommendation apps focus on ratings from the general population, Ness adapted around social, as well as your own taste. Others have tried this before as well, but Ness seemed to have nailed it thanks to a ton of data they've been pulling up the app even started.

They can do this because they hook into Facebook, Foursquare and Twitter (as well as several other smaller sources) find signals some of the restaurants. People tweeting about liking them? Users check out there much? These sorts of things. This helps determine which restaurants Ness must show you within an application.

When you first load up the app, you are asked to assess ten places you have visited. This helps calibrate points "Likeness" of the key recommendations. Those scores likeness appear as probability percentage that you like the restaurant shows. This, together with the proximity and social data to determine what restaurants are provided to you.

But the application from a search engine in the more traditional sense. You can easily search for different types of food, whether General or specific. And you can choose to search in other cities. Or you can change the search options to limit your search by price and weed out the more circuits, for example.

When you find your favorite place you can go deeper to get hours, phone numbers, website, etc. you can also save space to return later. And you can share restaurants with friends with the click of a button.

They key to app, though, is the ease of use and data accuracy. I constantly find similarity ratings were roughly correct what my actual rating be for restaurants, I was in and the system will only get better, how do you appreciate more space.

The appearance of the application is also beautiful. I said that we can thank the initial team member iPhone Apple previously and now with Ness, to do so.

Remember that restaurant recommendations just step one of Ness hopes to offer. Next steps will indicate similarity engine to shops, music, nightlife and entertainment. All that can be done in one killer, subjective mobile search system.

You can find the Ness in the App Store here. Unfortunately, it is only for United States at the present time.

lift

Twitter co-founders biz stone, Evan Williams and longtime sidekick Jason Goldman, recently have shifted their attention from micro sharing service provider to reset the obvious, the company which originally incubated Twitter.

Yesterday the stone announced the first draft of the obvious: new application development company called lift created by Tony Stubblebine and John Crosby. Obvious said that it would help lift with "strategies, develop, finance and recruitment."

Hoist building remains unclear, but Stone says:

"Tony Stubblebine and Jon Crosby created an interesting new application for unlocking human potential through the positive reinforcements. We love this software for what he does, and since we have tried it and it works.

Crosby said more would be distributed "in the coming months." If you are interested in learning more now: Marshall Kirkpatrick was sleuthing and writes about what he found at ReadWriteWeb.

Stubblebine previously worked at Wesabe, Odeo (where he worked with obvious trio) and O'Reilly Media, and founded the CrowdVine. Crosby boasts concerts on the road, engine yard and Songbird his resume.

The lift will be billed as a company are evident, despite the obvious team clearly sees this more as a partnership in which the lift gets to go his own way, under the leadership of Stubblebine and Crosby.

Its service is currently in private alpha, but the Web site allows people to register to get more details when available. Oh and you can log in via Twitter and Facebook.

As an amusing side: entrepreneur and Hacker Connor Montgomery and/or Stubblebine, apparently added some humor in the code of the Web site of the lift:

(meta name = "description" content = "Cancel. Achieve anything (assuming that we are finishing building this app). ")

I assume that they will. Can't wait to finally be able to achieve anything!

Napkin Labs allows brands to better understand their customers (and turn them into collaborators)

Napkin-Labs-S

Social networks like Facebook and Twitter as a truly effective channels in which companies can communicate with their customers and receive-instant feedback on their products and brands. Course information within social networks may be more of a fire hose.

Although social networks provide more than random reviews for brands to take advantage, they often do not have the kind of deep understanding of product design, design concept, or that the company can do to better serve its customer base. Companies want to be more effective in communicating with the active user base and valued Clients together so that actually leads to better products and better user experience, rather than the alternative.

Today the napkin Labs launches new version of its platform, which aims to solve this problem, creating a space online laboratory this function as a collaborative community where customers can exercise their creative muscles and work together to make their favorite brands even more attractive.

In fact, napkin Labs works to incorporate valuable customers in creative army into the platform, which gives them a number of activities (read: apps), integrate the game dynamics and intuitive design that makes it easy (and fun) to develop new ideas and let their views be heard. Not unlike the IDEO, these apps to work towards the promotion of an effective forum in which the spitball ideas about the design process, crowdsourcing process so users are encouraged to become designers, marketers and product developers all at once — giving clients the opportunity to become more directly involved in the development of their favorite brands and products.

Each company or brand, you can create your own laboratory in which the application of leading clients through napkin a series of simple questions designed to get the main product of the alleged experience, as well as allowing brands to seek more nuanced and targeted feedback — or go even further by encouraging fans to create video renderings of their suggestions and using video to create a fact-finding missions. These custom applications experience allow brands to understand their clients from a variety of different perspectives and to drive home the idea of real cooperation between the brand and the customer.

And because every project is a game-ified, contributors are rewarded with "influence points" for each proposal, they do rating in public leaders who can view each user involved. At the end of the design process, each user is prompted to pay chosen by the company, whether in cash, goods or merit badge.

The company can continue to configure the user experience design lab their product with welcome messages, logos, colors, and different characteristics, as well as the types of users may engage in both processing advertising campaign, for example — all in an attempt to make the design process more enjoyable and more comfortable driving constructive feedback and iteration.

Another aspect that differentiates from competitors napkin Labs platform really is a turnkey solution that can be used by any one designer for large corporations. Napkin Labs offers pricing scheme in which businesses pay $ 99 per month for basic functions — up to $ 499 per month for the United States the full user experience for individual companies.

When you run the easy-to-use and clean UI encourage companies such as Sony Design Center and Google to become the first clients of the private beta of serviette laboratories. Google, for one, for a platform to test ideas for GoogleTV, particularly in connection with young customers use Web TV in the changing landscape of digital media, according to the napkin Labs ' co-founder and CEO of Riley Gibson.

For small companies who cannot afford to hire professional designers and creatives register at an early stage products, napkin Labs creates easily (and cheaper) solution by bringing customers into the game, to participate in iterations and ideas — an approach that very well could be a great approach to building brand loyalty.

It is an interesting platform. Chimes to let us know what you think. For more check the video below:

MediaCore softswitch raises seed funding, launches Platform for small and medium-sized businesses create their own YouTube

RIP Empson-writer at TechCrunch. He did not find friends here, he is here to win and you don't forget it. You can contact him at rip [at] techcrunch [dot] com ? more

Screen shot 2011-08-10 at 4.48.02 PM

Launch officially public today a new venture called MediaCore softswitch, brought to you by Damien Tanner and Stuart Bowness, the first of which was in charge of the pusher, a solution that adds realtime tech applications, which was funded by Heroku guys, among other things, back in June.

Tanner and Bowness run MediaCore softswitch to provide any old small businesses with the ability to implement their own YouTube that allows an organization to control the experience from end-to-end. In other words MediaCore softswitch is a video publishing platform for SaaS (complete with mobile applications), provides the ability to create and control their own video site to any user or organization. And it's all about appearance.

How it works clients download content in infrastructure cloud-based platform and let the video play through MediaCore player, which, among other things, automatically detects the browser that the user connects to so that they don't have to worry about the differences between Flash and HTML5. Player sorts it for you, using HTML5, when possible.

Visitors can view video collection through a cool interactive guide and platform allows owners to easily organize their videos by categories and tags and automatically sorts content by relevance and popularity. Users can add logos, backgrounds, and play with the CSS to customize the look of the site. In addition, you can add your own domain, take advantage of podcasting and quite a few excellent service. In view of the fact that the establishment of a fully equipped video platform is no easy feat MediaCore offers a solution pretty cool white label that looks good and doesn't require much technical know-how.

MediaCore softswitch currently offers 15 days free trial, and after, plans start at $ 99 per month. These plans include custom domains, white label, custom branding, automated coding, introduces social video, etc., But the best part is that Android and iOS apps come with each account you manage to look pretty damn good too. Coming next? According to Tanner and Bowness is a private video profiles and paywalls.

To get the platform is off and running, the start is in the process of closing a seed round of angel funding from the Andrew Wilkinson, founder and CEO of MetaLab and Jessie Ma Gawker Media. While the founders refused to give specifics, round, probably hundreds of thousands. (United States Dollars, that is.)

When I asked them that inspiration for MediaCore softswitch, they told me that there are other video platforms are stacked with engineers and often pay little attention to the design, which leads to crappy interfaces and a number of failed user interfaces. Thus after the launch of the open source version of MediaCore softswitch for one year, they are bringing their SaaS platform for the market, in an attempt to lead you to design and make it easy to use.

Beta platform already attracted over 1100 companies, including the University of London, Mentor Graphics, TechVibes, Indiana University and a number of Fortune 500 companies. As a guess from its first customers and scalable cloud storage product aimed at the SMB, but the founders told me that during the year, they will be launching a number of personal plans, which will be offered below the current price of $ 99 per month.

MediaCore softswitch is also planning to start a Tumblr theme store in the near future that will allow users to buy themes and settings of their sites, all works through the API (a la Tumblr).

In General when paywalls roll and proper iPad interface falls MediaCore softswitch is probably going to be essentially video version OnSwipe. It is a good thing? You tell us.

inneractive launches cross-platform SDK to help developers Monetize their Apps (in one line of code)

If you've heard it once, you've heard his eleventy four times. Mobile advertising is hot right now. United States mobile ad revenue, for example, are expected to hit $ 2.8 billion by 2015, says Bia/Kelsey, thanks mainly to the fact that 76.8 million Americans now own a Smartphone.

This is all well and good, but the fact that that app developers still face many obstacles when it comes to marketing and monetizing their applications. With 81 percent of Apps on iOS for instance is now free of charge, many developers rely on mobile advertising and in app purchases to monetize their applications. In collaboration with the growing market of mobile ad networks are popping up now and the world. One of the most prominent networks that Google AdMob, but there are many young competitors in the space, including a cool platform, we discussed yesterday, under the name Adlibrium.

But who thinks of developers? This is what Israeli startup and requests a mobile ad mediation platform inneractive. Founded in 2007 (with offices in Palo Alto), inneractive is designed to help solve some of the tensions faced by developers in monetizing their applications, giving them the means to raise revenue and serve the object relevant ads to their users that increase CTR, eCPM, and the pace of the global fill.

Launch is currently collaborating with 100 ad partners in over 200 countries, including some of the bigger ad networks like AdMob, BuzzCity and Jumptap, among others. With local institutions in these countries inneractive hopes to ensure that people in Italy, for example, see Italian ads and people will see Hebrew in Israel, ads, etc.

Essentially inneractive integrates its 100 partner networks and advertising agencies into a single cross platform SDK, in a way that allows developers to take advantage of relevant ads in their applications, which, as a matter of course, tends to improve CTR and the important mobile advertising statistics. Inneractive is campaigns and ads based on location, platform and content developer application, too, in order to provide you with more targeted advertising.

According to Marketing Manager Hillel inneractive Fuld run currently 95 per cent of the global fill rate 99% in the United States, click through rates higher than 3%, depending on the platform and applications, and "triple the industry average in eCPM (Android and WP7 is approximately $ 1.3 on average with Ovi $ 2.5 on average), all of whom witnessed the launch of income grow six times from 2010 to 2011.

Of course serving relevant advertising means squat if developers can only use platform to optimize the ads on a mobile OS. Inneractive today officially announces the completion of its portfolio in the SDK. The coolest part about this software is only one line of code. So, in about 10-15 seconds (and I've seen it in action), the developer can have their application integrated with inneractive in the SDK. Note that these addresses are available for Windows, iOS, Android and BlackBerry. Inneractive offers SDKs for Bada, J2mE, Symbian and Flash, although without a single line.

Android SDK was the last piece of the puzzle, and starts officially today. Company beta testing Android SDK, and according to Fuld, the company saw advertising revenue, impressions and clicks, the growth rate of about 30% over the past two weeks.

Seeing as it is free for use and distribution of income for developers — 65 per cent to 35 per cent (from 65 per cent going to the developer), and implementation of the SDK is a breeze, inneractive offers a nifty little developer friendly mobile platform that is worth checking out.

Interested parties may register and download the SDK portfolio here.
