Bizness Apps launch, which gives small businesses the means to quickly and easily create a mobile application that launched in October 2010, and is growing like gangbusters, reaching more than 1000 applications that 10 languages and more than 20 countries in less than 9 months. She also recently teamed with WuFoo to give small and medium-sized businesses the ability to create and seamlessly add contact forms, online surveys and invitations for their applications. Startup also has interesting founding story that provides useful lessons for your business. Check out our April coverage here.

Bizness Apps value proposition is simple: run wants to make mobile applications available, customizable and easy-to-small business owner. Thus starting offers DIY iPhone, iPad and Android application platform that enables SMB to create, edit, and manage mobile applications without any programming experience required. You start with a template, customize them to meet your business and then Bizness Apps makes them native apps and distributes them on iTunes and the Android market.

Run is not without competitors in this space as iSites, SwebApps and mobile Roadie are targeting similar endpoint. But real Apps Bizness advantage that this product is easy to use, well designed, yet remains accessible. Price for use iOS or Android platform-$ 39, while those who want to create Android applications and iOS are paying $ 59. This accessibility is very appealing for small business, wants to take advantage of the mobile business without having to fork over thousands of dollars to do so.

Native apps are great and all, you could say, but what about this should HTML5 revolution? Where is my Web applications? Accelerated, the fact that heated debate whether the app developers should go to HTML5 or native apps (as evidenced by mg on the post titled back in February), the Bizness Apps founder and Executive Director Andrew Gazdecki said that he thinks that the best approach is to place a bet on mobile as a whole — not one or the other.

That is why the launch today announces the launch of HTML5 version of the platform for their DIY mobile applications for small businesses. With this new Web feature service, users now have the ability to create almost identical mobile experience for every mobile platform, including iOS, Android, BlackBerry, Windows Mobile, and so on — they can go native HTML5, or both. For an additional $ 10 per month.

Within the framework of the launch platform for HTML5 Bizness Apps built QR code enabled mobile marketing template to provide a simple and affordable way to market their mobile applications for clients small and medium-sized businesses. Image template, as shown above, is automatically generated (with the possibility of printing) with one click from within the platform for HTML5.

The idea here, said Gazdecki, is to help direct business customers for the relevant applications based on what type of mobile device they are using. For example, if a user has an Android phone, they scan the Android themed QR code assigned to business Android app.

Another important piece of the puzzle in the establishment of a development tool agnostic application platform for small and medium business is the existence in the mother and HTML5 and accessibility and the new possibilities of mobile marketing, Bizness Apps became an interesting platform and is well-positioned to weather the native vs. web apps debate.

Web site complements the monthly packages, providing appropriate advice and training materials on its Web site to the featured designs. Idea to help consumers discover new brands and products at an affordable price, as well as stimulation of sales.

One of the unique aspects of the Birchbox is that it offers personalized set of products each month that are configured for the user profiles and settings. Each user fills out a survey of beauty and create a profile which is then used to fetch the priest for each individual client.

Birchbox, which was founded in the Harvard Business School grads Hayley Barna and Kate Beauchamp, launched almost a year ago and already has a subscriber base of 45 000 clients (all of whom paid up to $ 10 a month apiece or $ 110 per year). While many retailers seem to have jumped on the bandwagon of the month box, cosmetics industry is especially suitable for sampling experience. And Birchbox was one of the pioneers in the field model of the month. GoodData startup company that provides a platform for cloud-based business intelligence (BI) raised $ 15 million in financing led by Andreessen Horowitz with existing investors General Catalyst partners, fidelity growth partners and Windcrest, also contributes to the round. This investment brings total financing GoodData to $ 28.5 million. The company also added two new members of the Board of Directors: John O'Farrell, general partner at Andreessen Horowitz and Dave Girouard, President of Google Enterprise. In addition it marks Andreessen Horowitz fourth GoodData investments (including two seed investment and 2010).

Founded by serial entrepreneur Roman Stanek, GoodData offers cloud-based data analytics solution that is more economically efficient than similar products from IBM, SAP and Oracle. The company mainly GoodData can connect product in their own cloud-based SaaS (i.e. Salesforce, Zendesk) and then access to operational dashboards, advanced reporting and data storage.

In addition to the just structuring data, GoodData also gives the company best practices and actionable insights based on data, add a layer of intelligence. The company has a number of Analytics apps for SaaS products, including the Zendesk, Twilio, Pardot and get satisfaction, which offers these companies additional reporting. The company currently offers 20 application and will expand more SaaS platform with new funding. The company plans to add another 30 applications by the end of the year.

Stanek tells us that GoodData is disrupting BI $ 25 billion and storage space, because the earlier data intelligence used to be a complex process. But as more companies rely on cloud applications to business functions such as sales, customer service and much more, access and understanding of this huge amount of data on the basis of the cloud became simplified process that took minutes, he explains.

And GoodData sacrificed seeing traction in the enterprise space. Over 2500 companies, including Software AG, Time Warner Cable, Capgemini and Pandora media, relied on data intelligence, GoodData products. The company saw a 500% increase in the overall use of the platform in the 2011 alone and currently manages more than 6500 customers data Mark. And more than 2 million records were executed on a platform of BI cloud GoodData in July this year.

Girouard, who will advise the company to develop products, services and sales cloud, said: "GoodData GoodData is an amazing opportunity to build a huge business. Cloud computing and Analytics is a killer and GoodData provides unique and promising approach to lead in this market. "

O'Farrell Andreessen Horowitz also bullish on GoodData, tells us that he sees run to become the company billions of dollars. He explains that because the mass market continued to move to the cloud, there's still so much more potential for cloud-based business as GoodData that extract valuable information from the data cloud. "This is what business will spend a lot of money on," said O'Farrell.

O'Farrell also made an interesting point about the business intelligence space as a whole. He said there was a low barrier of entry in the space, but GoodData goes beyond just providing charts and data visualization tools offers a powerful platform, actually gives companies actionable insight from all of their business data. This, he said, creates a high barrier to entry, and be able help GoodData.

Kontagent Analytics Platform now track users 150 m; $ 1 of every $ 4 spent in social gaming

It seems that every day, another company in the tech industry hits milestone, but today reached Kontagent, social analytics platform for app developers is pretty impressive. FbFund winner now keeps track of over 150 million monthly active users (Maus) and handles over 1 billion messages per day. Broken down, it's 15000 + messages per second, or more than twice the number of tweets than Twitter processed at its peak during the women's World Cup finals.

Starting with February Kontagent tracking added another 50 million users and has more than doubled the number of message processing. Come to mind the words "aggressive scale.

This scaling, probably due to the fact that in the past month, the launch went beyond simply tracking Analytics for developers on Facebook and added tracking for Web and mobile applications (not on FB) also. The new platform, called kSuite is based on the earlier launch functionality, giving developers a new and improved ways to track and optimize your advertising efforts, virality, mechanics in app, virtual goods and currency monetization.

All say Kontagent now has more than 1100 active social and mobile applications, using its on-demand enterprise software including Ubisoft, Time Warner, A&E, EA and Tencent, to name a few. Since many of the major customers from the start to invest in social gaming (EA today acquired Bight games and acquired by PopCap last month), the company is currently tracking one in every four dollars spent social gamers.

Some recent major steps 4 year run certainly seems to be paying off, but we'll see how smoothly Kontagent scales, continuing hoovering new users and customers. And although the company more than $ 5 million to date, I wouldn't be surprised if they are on their way to start a new round in the not too distant future. But this is just speculation, don't quote me on that.

MediaCore softswitch raises seed funding, launches Platform for small and medium-sized businesses create their own YouTube

RIP Empson-writer at TechCrunch. He did not find friends here, he is here to win and you don't forget it. You can contact him at rip [at] techcrunch [dot] com ? more

Screen shot 2011-08-10 at 4.48.02 PM

Launch officially public today a new venture called MediaCore softswitch, brought to you by Damien Tanner and Stuart Bowness, the first of which was in charge of the pusher, a solution that adds realtime tech applications, which was funded by Heroku guys, among other things, back in June.

Tanner and Bowness run MediaCore softswitch to provide any old small businesses with the ability to implement their own YouTube that allows an organization to control the experience from end-to-end. In other words MediaCore softswitch is a video publishing platform for SaaS (complete with mobile applications), provides the ability to create and control their own video site to any user or organization. And it's all about appearance.

How it works clients download content in infrastructure cloud-based platform and let the video play through MediaCore player, which, among other things, automatically detects the browser that the user connects to so that they don't have to worry about the differences between Flash and HTML5. Player sorts it for you, using HTML5, when possible.

Visitors can view video collection through a cool interactive guide and platform allows owners to easily organize their videos by categories and tags and automatically sorts content by relevance and popularity. Users can add logos, backgrounds, and play with the CSS to customize the look of the site. In addition, you can add your own domain, take advantage of podcasting and quite a few excellent service. In view of the fact that the establishment of a fully equipped video platform is no easy feat MediaCore offers a solution pretty cool white label that looks good and doesn't require much technical know-how.

MediaCore softswitch currently offers 15 days free trial, and after, plans start at $ 99 per month. These plans include custom domains, white label, custom branding, automated coding, introduces social video, etc., But the best part is that Android and iOS apps come with each account you manage to look pretty damn good too. Coming next? According to Tanner and Bowness is a private video profiles and paywalls.

To get the platform is off and running, the start is in the process of closing a seed round of angel funding from the Andrew Wilkinson, founder and CEO of MetaLab and Jessie Ma Gawker Media. While the founders refused to give specifics, round, probably hundreds of thousands. (United States Dollars, that is.)

When I asked them that inspiration for MediaCore softswitch, they told me that there are other video platforms are stacked with engineers and often pay little attention to the design, which leads to crappy interfaces and a number of failed user interfaces. Thus after the launch of the open source version of MediaCore softswitch for one year, they are bringing their SaaS platform for the market, in an attempt to lead you to design and make it easy to use.

Beta platform already attracted over 1100 companies, including the University of London, Mentor Graphics, TechVibes, Indiana University and a number of Fortune 500 companies. As a guess from its first customers and scalable cloud storage product aimed at the SMB, but the founders told me that during the year, they will be launching a number of personal plans, which will be offered below the current price of $ 99 per month.

MediaCore softswitch is also planning to start a Tumblr theme store in the near future that will allow users to buy themes and settings of their sites, all works through the API (a la Tumblr).

In General when paywalls roll and proper iPad interface falls MediaCore softswitch is probably going to be essentially video version OnSwipe. It is a good thing? You tell us.

LocalResponse forcing makes it analyzes massive amounts of data in addition to returns from Twitter firehose Exchange sites and more, to find other forms of checkins photos. This could put a picture on a Instagram dish from a restaurant or Tweeting that you visit a particular bar.

LocalResponse on patented technology collects and prioritizes social data explicitly (i.e. checkins on Foursquare) and indirectly (through the analysis of natural language on Facebook, Twitter, etc., for example "I headed down to ShakeShack"). Mehta said most refunds are many social media platforms, serving up to helping businesses track refunds and implicit skip this key data. Allowing brands to focus on connecting with customers on this implicit data exchange of views and mention of the content (i.e., TV shows and movies), LocalResponse will add another dimension to its platform of social advertising.

Philo also adds another way to work with LocalResponse for major brands such as content properties and entertainment companies. Mehta adds that Fili also brings an experienced engineering team LocalResponse and Filo's Technical Director, Jessica Lowe will be the new CTO LocalResponse.

Since its launch a few months ago the company grows. LocalResponse recently signed his 25 major advertisers for their brand platform. In July some results showed his LocalResponse first major brands, campaigns, performing in 100 times better than traditional online media buys, including repayment rate of 60%.

LocalResponse relies on Verizon, metamorphic ventures, Venture partners, Charles River Ventures, Enterprise BOLDstart, Jim Pallotta, Greycroft partners and others. Mehta said the company aims to raise another round, but also received a number of proposals for acquisition. In fact, it had considered a number of term sheets and offers at the moment. It was unclear how will go Mehta, but this is of course the LocalResponse something when it comes to attracting advertising in social networks for small businesses and brands.

Monetate, a platform that provides marketers with testing and orientation services for their Web sites, announced today that it has closed a $ 15 million series b funding round. The round was led by OpenView Venture partners and adds $ 5.1 million series a round, raised in December, first round capital and gateway. Recent capital injections brings total investment up to just over $ 20 million.

Monetate co-founders David Brussin, and David Bookspan, as many entrepreneurs dabbled in several industries. In 2001, Brussin co-founded ePrivacy group, which established programmes, standards and products to protect the e-mail marketing channel; He then went to found TurnTide, an anti-spam router, which was acquired by Symantec in 2004. At the time was ready to go to Brussin his next venture, he said, the thing that stuck out the most was how little has changed since 1990 position marketers 's.

Marketers were still living in a world of electronic commerce, where they have little control over their own advertising, despite the steps taken in the display, and based on the IT groups to take care of the dirty work. Thus in 2008, Brussin and Bookspan founded Monetate allow marketers to gain control of the consumer website experience without the need to be an expert coder or hire more engineers.

Thanks to its cloud-based marketing platform Monetate enables marketers to design and run messaging and advocacy campaigns, and testing of these campaigns in real time to deployment. Retailers and brands have traditionally looked at the port, the same experience that customers in the store on their online storefronts, but by and large, the network configuration parameters paled in comparison to their brick and mortar counterparts.

Monetate marketing gives you the opportunity to modify any part of the customer in real time, for any given client. Marketers can go into platform and choices for, say, people in New York. Monetate pulls real-time meteorological data from the Internet, while at the same time collecting data about the location of the client, so that the Retail Marketing knows that the client is in New York, where the temperature is cold, thus allows marketers to change what is on the main page, say, sweaters and jackets, targeted and personalized experience for the customer in real time.

The cool part is that it gives marketers Monetate one line of Javascript code to add to their Web sites for these kind of targeted campaigns — users do not need to be engineers, or in the Office, in order to achieve this functionality. Marketers, it can be more spontaneous and concentrate on responding to individual clients, testing ideas on the fly, rather than months testing campaign ideas, before gradually rolling out these ideas.

Monetate has already attracted brands like Petko, Urban Outfitters, sports, QVC, casual men, Dick sporting goods and more now by running orientation and testing services to e-commerce platform. Brussin tells me that many of the brands that the group is currently working with added hundreds of millions of profits by cutting the need for enterprises to hire Monetate specialized groups, as well as to reduce the bounce and shopping cart abandonment.

As data from the client to Monetate each page view, run, took the big data challenge, which will usually work it staff in the hands of retailers. Of course, staying on top of those reams of data is not an easy task, and although Brussin said that the group is proud of the almost perfect up time starting last infusion of capital will be used to help understand these data systems — as well as the scope of its own staff and marketing efforts.
