Turntable.FM is so hot right now. In fact when it comes to tweets, synchronous social music platform can even be more Klout than Pandora or Spotify. With the growing popularity of gramophone records, it is quite natural that the video curation platforms will be ready to take a cue from the site by dance music and bring the disco video.

Two weeks ago, we reviewed starts cold, which is almost a direct analogue of the concept Turntable.fm for video, except that in the case of the chill, there's "Salons" as opposed to a DJ turntable rooms. Stretch, I know. Of course when it comes to social video experience, there is Socialcam and Google + that allows you to watch videos with your friends online, but there are a lot more potential here for interactivity, as shown on the turntables.

ShortForm, a year and half old start running help video fanatics create personalized channels of Web video content also recently adopted the synchronous, social video experience, as he recently started his Live video of participants of integration, which allows video jockeys for broadcasting video content to a live audience.

When we first told ShortForm back in March, running only crossed the million visitors milestone and continues as ShortForm Director Nader Ghaffari told me that in July alone, run attracted 1 million unique visitors.

This is a key leg up for ShortForm entering hot space, its new feature video party was built on the basis of thousands already curated video feeds from sources such as YouTube, Vimeo and almost every other video platforms out there.

As ShortForm had already begun to make it easy for their VJs mix video with these platforms in their own personalized channels, broadcast back-to-back format as the TV viewing experience. Thus ShortForm VJs can play their own curated video channels for their audience or choose from thousands of other VJ channels from the Channel Guide to run.

Of course, until now, the launch VJs were viewing video content asynchronously, but with the beginning of the video, ShortFormers can now view curated video content simultaneously with hundreds of other friends and communicate with other visitors, while they watch, both turntables.

The neat thing about ShortForm in approach is spotlights profile photos of all viewers in live video party lead in this additional level of social interactivity between spectators and VJs. of course when it comes to playing what video, VJ host controls the party and shown. However, the host may, at any point transfer "deleted", so to speak, any spectator, making it the viewer in a new VJ. If the original node is not like what they see, they can always snatch the remote back from violator VJ and regain control over play what cat video.

"Big vision I see here," Ghaffari said: "this is the first wave of stars in the online video content creators. Now with so much content is produced daily, it is possible to create a new generation of stars. These stars are VJs, anyone can curate this content in feeds that tell amazing stories and share these links with friends and spectators around the world. Live video of the parties to give these VJs social and interactive way to tell their stories. "

Live video Party really have the potential to be exciting and interesting experiences, especially via live chat, as viewers can discuss in real time what they see or take-off and start their own party. The fact that users are able to pass the baton around too and give power VJing to other users, goes a long way to building a truly interactive video platform.

To give readers a taste of the TC party video experience, ShortForm created custom instalment focuses on the TechCrunch brand experience, in this case specifically Chris Dickson "founder stories." Viewers can join each other, as well as ShortForm staff to watch an interview with concurrent flow Dixon. Of course the host usually can take remote control for other spectators, but in this case, this is the founder of the history, all the time. This is a good example of how you will be able to customize their pages and their video experience to grab the eye views and maybe even $ VJs, brands, etc.

Today, on the basis of mountain view Ooyala, rapidly growing online video services provider, announced that it has landed a great content partner: the so-called "worldwide leader in sports, ESPN. These avid sports fans among us, you may have noticed some changes to the look and speed of the video at ESPN.com. Over the past few weeks start Ooyala video integration technology in ESPN's Web site and officially now supply all sports MEDIA behemoth streaming video content.

This is a major feather in the CAP and the confidence to run video 4 years as ESPN is one of the largest producers of online video content, with 400 unique visitors hitting play on ESPN Video every second (and serving more than 1 billion streams per month), in accordance with the Ooyala co-founder and President of Bismarck Lepe product. For Ooyala, Lepe said, this partnership with ESPN proof that he has achieved scale and in the overall picture shows that the online video industry at the point where the main building blocks available and can support a viable, healthy business.

ESPN Vice President, technology and product development Jason Gunther told TechCrunch that the company uses its own video system based on technology of Disney (ESPN is owned by Disney) and experimentation with several different video platforms and technologies. However, the company is at the point, He said, in which she really wants to start focusing on the content and the overall user experience of their digital platform, and not have to worry for the technology necessary to service billions of video streams or clarify its own video player.

Vice President of tech said that after checking a number of third-party platforms, Ooyala "landed a little higher" than its competitors, because it allows sports giant to reduce download times and take advantage of the video Bit rate, which can deliver HD up to 2.8 Mbit/s. ESPN's new Flash-based player, although users can use HTML5 version on their iPadsi provides dynamic video quality that configures the network connection for individual users, throughput, etc. in order to serve better the video quality in accordance with the possibilities of each spectator.

First of all, our video technology helps ESPN to deliver the best possible fan experience on the Internet. Ooyala-powered video incredibly fast download and have exceptional playback quality. As a result of ESPN can attract more fans and keep them look bigger.

For ESPN Ooyala not only speed up boot times and increase the quality of play, but video launch also allows sports broadcaster to make better use of domestic resources through the rationalization of the governance of their video and related data, in accordance with the statement made today by Ooyala blog. Ooyala also offers its customers real-time analytics engine, with detailed videos and individual users reporting on-demand and live video streaming, as well as integration with payment systems so that customers have the ability to run both paid and ad supported video business model.

ESPN typically lags behind its competitors of major media in terms of its use of social media, so that Ooyala visitors makes it easy to share videos through Facebook and Twitter from the player, a great social impetus for ESPN.

He told me that the scaling was the great challenge for ESPN.com, and the technical team is looking for ways to take advantage of new mobile channels, also retain the contents of consistently high quality on the Internet. Ooyala allows ESPN to serve effectively videos-steady quality platforms and scale. Moving forward, "he said, ESPN will look for innovation on the basis of its new video platform, as well as to explore ways of beef and promote its API.

In General, it's great to see ESPN finally offers a quality player with fast load times and more linear experience of demand, in which video and layouts feel akin to TV viewing experience – and can compete in ease of use videos from YouTube. And for Ooyala, who recently signed a contract with Yahoo! Japan and will soon account for more than 50 percent of all Japanese online video size, according to Lepe, is yet another sign that he reaches this elusive tipping point.

But don't worry, Ooyala has change is planned. You'll see what I mean below:

GLMPS launches a cool new photo sharing App with a twist video

RIP Empson-writer at TechCrunch. He did not find friends here, he is here to win and you don't forget it. You can contact him at rip [at] techcrunch [dot] com ? more

Screen shot 2011-08-04 at 8.08.43 AM

There are a few photo sharing application out there on the market today, as you can see. In fact there are enough options that TechCrunch's Alex Tsostsis and former Myspace marketing guy Sean Percival created a flowchart to help you find the right path to the app.config is a space that, while popular, is in desperate need of some fresh ideas. Thus as of today, there is yet another photo sharing app on the App Store, but this one is pretty cool twist.

Founded in 2010, GLMPS, San Francisco is the bootstrap, which today produces his eponymous iPhone app that offers experience run likens "Visual State update." What does it mean, exactly? Well, simply put: GLMPS a mixture of traditional video capture image to 5 seconds or so before one snaps photos captured by app in quick, or video form.

In fact, this is akin to "pressing play on your photos, so that when you view a still image, a small thumbnail appears in the bottom right of the screen, showing moments to capture video or a suped-up GIF is of the form.

After the user takes their photo, photo video loads in your library to their iPhone, and then, as other photo sharing apps, they can easily share these glmpses through Facebook, Twitter, Foursquare, Tumblr, email, SMS, etc. for today's launch of GLMPS has partnered with Foursquare, inter alia, to add a layer to further enrich the photo video experience-registration.

This is a great idea and one of those simple, once you see it in action, it becomes hard to believe that this hasn't been done before. Adding the few spontaneous moments before the picture was taken in the form of video, briefly taking back in time, this nifty feature. He did not feel done yet, but there are many possibilities. Just ask Scoble.

GLMPS is currently free on the iPhone and Android applications (and beyond) are piped in the near future. GLMPS command, which includes Paul Robinett, Nick Long and Esther Crawford, will soon add the ability to combine into one snapshot "glmpses" to create a selection videos photos video library in terms of the identity of the user or group based on time, tags and location.

"We've seen GLMPS earlier this year and it was no-brainer for integration with the platform," said immodestly immodestly VP of Mobile & Holger Luedorf strategic partnership. "GLMPS enriches the experience-registration, providing a fast, rich picture at this time. It is our goal to provide our millions of users and partners, the ultimate brand experience, involvement and GLMPS is a powerful tool for all immodestly ecosystems ".

Generally speaking video producers have a much easier time producing content than its profit. This is because the monetization side of the equation has two x factors that are difficult to get right. The first of which is a factor – that ' the money ', a mechanism that facilitates the billing aspect thread user. Second, as a "how to monetize" factor – what model (s) according to which the content is there.

Enter the Cent2Cent, the Israeli company with versatile enough for both high-end television (NBC is a client) and low-cost solutions video monetization of blogs. And with more than 200 000 paid transactions to date, they may be on to something, too.

One immediate advantage with Cent2Cent is the choice of its monetization solution does not require the content owner betting the whole House on it. By this I mean that monetizing through Cent2Cent does not require the contents of the Cent2Cent hosting infrastructure. Content can be incorporated in the JavaScript Shell, or for those who want more programmatic control, there are APIs, SOAP/rest. For those, however, that require hosting, Cent2Cent integrated Kaltura, so is also. And rounding, there are also plugins for Drupal & WordPress.

The second key advantage with Cent2Cent solution is that the monetization options are quite diverse. These include: subscription plans daily, weekly, monthly, periodically, pay-per-view, bundles and packages and Metered plans (by number of views, or the time to consider).

On the face of all these options can be overwhelming, but this is where the Cent2Cent built-in Diagnostics can help to take decisions to monetize the content owner. Module collects data viewer, the segments for ideas to be displayed. For example, the content owner may find that 2% of users think more than a dozen videos, while 5% more than five. Both segments fit more subscription models, unlike other users who may be proposed only purchase model for viewing.

Cent2Cent commenced in October 2010 and raised $ 500.000 from private investors to date.
