VibeDeck adds free e-commerce layer for SoundCloud

Last month, we wrote about the Vibedeck that was just raised $ 2 million in funding for its e-commerce platform for musicians. As we wrote then, although VibeDeck is still in early development (running in Beta 2 months ago), the value proposition that is slick and easy to use. And run goal is too easy: how low cost e-commerce resource for small-to medium-sized bands or music startups, or mSMBs, if you will.

VibeDeck does this by giving artists used custom pages where they can add information, images, and make embeddable player share their melodies, in which they can be dragged to change the order of tracks etc. platform also allows musicians to export sales data and connect to your PayPal account to receive payments directly from the fans. And the best part, in addition to PayPal fees, VibeDeck is free to use.

After our prior cover quite a lot of comments expressed their disappointment with the current forward fan. More mature as Bandcamp, offer, sell merchandise direct fan as well, but BandCamp, inter alia, a little more focused on adding features that will be equivalent to the Web version of the band Manager, while VibeDeck focuses exclusively on making e-commerce.

As commented, VibeDeck has a ways to go before he has the same functionality as other music services, but keep it simple (and free), it has great potential. Every day the fans and musicians are always looking for services which keep prices low.

Today VibeDeck added another piece of the puzzle by SoundCloud integration, which will allow any SoundClouder sell tracks directly to fans (or give away music for free in exchange for email data,) if they are cool like that. This new feature allows fans to buy MP3s (along with metadata and artwork) as SoundCloud "sets" directly from SoundCloud user page. It's fast, 3-step purchase process, and a stream of payments directly into your PayPal account. And, fortunately, VibeDeck does not take a cut of sales.

The configuration process produces a free page VibeDeck as a by-product (for example, you can see here), and prices up to the discretion of the user. However, you can email to the media for those musicians who most likely will circulate your music for free in exchange for the construction of a list of e-mail addresses.

Shamir, Lior VibeDeck, the Director-General stated that he sees this integration as a quick and easy way to add e-commerce layer on top of the SoundCloud audio facility. This is especially true given the fact that SoundRain (which offer similar services) no longer live. Readers can verify the integration of SoundCloud here.

The fact that the flow of payments directly into PayPal, and that the band can connect their Facebook account VibeDeck and VibeDeck-powered embedding their music stored on any Web site, plus a bonus that VibeDeck standardize the boot type (320 Kbit/s MP3) to meet consumer expectations Amazon and iTunes is running starts to look like it has some serious potential.

VibeDeck still has some work to do, but offering solutions in which artists, while maintaining 100% profit? This is music to the ears.
